Victoria Hotel Weymouth Terms
Payment/Deposit details
A non-refundable deposit of £20 per person per night / £50.00 per person per week secures your holiday. Deposits can be paid via cash or cheque (please note that we require 2 weeks' clearance time on deposits paid via cheque). At present, we currently do not accept credit or debit cards. Cheques should be made payable to "The Victoria Hotel". If you wish to pay the balance of your stay by cheque on your arrival (unless we have requested payment in advance) please be advised that we require a cheque guarantee card to cover the total amount.
Cancellation policy
We will make every effort to re-let your room(s) should you cancel your booking. If, however, the accommodation remains unoccupied we are entitled to ask for further payment of 50% of the cost of your booking as compensation. Should you fail to give us 24 hours' notice, and the room(s) remain(s) un-let, we are entitled to ask for payment in full. We strongly recommend you take out adequate holiday insurance to prevent loss to yourselves. We send a holiday insurance form with confirmation of your booking.
One-night stays must be paid for in full at time of booking. A refund (minus deposit amount) will only be given if we successfully re-let the room.
Arrival & Departure
Bookings are from 2pm on arrival day until 10am on departure day. Please advise us of your estimated time of arrival so that we can ensure that we are here to greet you. Our latest check-in time is 6.00pm other than by prior arrangement. Please note that, if you have neither arrived nor contacted us by 6.00pm on the day of your planned arrival, you risk us re-letting your room.
Car Parking
We have parking permits available for our guests’ use, which enable you to park in “Zone F” along The Esplanade in Weymouth. These permits are free of charge, but a £10 cash deposit is required per permit, which is refunded to you upon safe return of our permit. We also have limited car spaces if booked IN ADVANCE & cost just £3 per day or £20 per week.
WELL-BEHAVED CHILDREN ARE WELCOMED AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR OWN CHILDREN AND ARE THEREFORE CORDIALLY REQUESTED TO KEEP YOUR CHILDREN UNDER CONSTANT SUPERVISION WHILST ON OUR PREMISES. YOU ARE ALSO REQUESTED TO RESPECT THE PRIVACY AND PEACE OF YOUR FELLOW GUESTS BY KEEPING THE NOISE LEVEL OF YOUR CHILDREN AT A REASONABLE LEVEL AND BY ENSURING THAT THEY DO NOT RUN AROUND IN PUBLIC AREAS.
Children between the ages of 2 & 12 are charged at half price. Babies & children under the age of 2 are charged at £5 per baby/child per night (we can supply a travel cot for your convenience - please advise if this is a requirement when making your booking). Children’s prices are based on 1 child/baby sharing with 2 full-paying adults or 2 children sharing with 2 adults in a family room)
- A deposit of £10 per person per night / £30 per person per week secures your booking
- During High Season, bookings must run for a minimum period of 1 week running from Saturday - Saturday
- We are a small, family run hotel. It is for this reason that, although we gladly supply tea and coffee making facilities within your rooms, we replace your cups, saucers and teaspoons with clean ones on a once-only daily basis, as and when required. We do request therefore that the interim cleaning of your crockery & cutlery be your responsibility as each of the rooms within our hotel has its own sink.
- We regret that we do not have a lift and that we are unable to accommodate pets (other than guide dogs)
The Victoria is a family-run establishment and any guest who deliberately disrupts the peace of others will be asked to keep the noise down or leave immediately, be it day or night. Whilst we do what we can to control the level of noise within the hotel, please remember that we are located on the sea front, in a prime spot within central Weymouth. One must consequently expect there to be a certain element of external noise from time to time.
We are usually unable to accommodate one-night bookings in advance. We only have 13 letting rooms and most people stay with us for 2 or 3 nights plus. We have found in the past that the one-night bookings block our ability to accommodate any of the other enquiries that we receive. It is always worth contacting us to see if we have the availability as, occasionally, we are able to take the odd one-night booking if it happens to fit in between a gap in already existing bookings.
