Plastic Surgery or cosmetic surgery are great if you need it, or want it. Either way, picking a good surgeon is essential for your procedure and your recovery. There are many good surgeons in Portland Oregon. Picking just one of them is the challenge. The best surgeons across the country can be found at nightingale surgery.

Choosing the right plastic surgeon for you is very important. Here are a few small tips to help you on your journey.

The first tip is to make sure that the surgeons you are looking at are board certified. Believe it or not, a plastic surgeon doesn’t have to be certified for the procedures he/she offers. Go here to http://www.plasticsurgery.org/  to find certified surgeons in your area.

The second tip is to make an appointment and go in. The first thing to take note is what the office is like. Note if the staff is friendly and helpful. Do they give you all the information you need? Is the office clean and organized?

Then talk to the surgeon and ask where he/she went to school. Ask if they are certified. Ask them how long and how many times they’ve done the procedure that you are looking to get.

Here are just two tips to start your journey, hopefully this helps. Another great website that has a list of certified surgeons in your area is http://www.wamegocommunityhealthministry.org/

My Background

Like most, sports took over my life at a young age, specifically track and field. Why? Because I’m relatively small for most sports and stepping out on that track, well…that didn’t matter. I grew up in a small town that had a big track history. Many Olympians, medalists, national champions have colored out town with honor.

Trying to fill these shoes I quickly set the goal to run for the best track team in the country, the University of Oregon. Making it to the University was my biggest goal at the time but quickly realized my body had enough and my collegiate career went south. I performed better in high school and my performances were becoming more than embarrassing. Not being quitter I endured the long, painful road of embarrassment and looked down on as not worthy to wear the ‘O’ on my chest.

At the end I took a long break from anything physical, my body could barely walk and I didn’t have a structure anymore. Being in sports my whole life, I’ve always had someone telling me where to workout, what to do, when. And now, I’m free. So I set out to find gyms in Eugene Oregon. I went to a few and even worked at one for a little bit. There are many eugene gyms and they come and go quickly it seems.

I realize now, this is one of my callings and the beginning of my new journey. Physical health is as important as anything else. And helping people become a better self, is all that matter.
